Rhythm · ternary vs binary
Eighth-swing imposes a ternary grid (÷3, the triplet); sixteenths want a binary one (÷4). They don't reconcile, so every idiom picks which grid wins locally. All eight treatments share one swung-eighth frame — toggle it on to hear each negotiate against the same reference. Drop the tempo low to hear why the nested roll only breathes slowly; push it up to hear straightening stop mattering.
