Distribution — your last 64 off-beats

Play your line along with the click. Each off-beat — the "and" between two beats — is placed on the timeline and scored against the gold target line. The dots near the taupe lines are your on-beats (or, through speakers, the click itself); the dots near the gold lines are what's measured.

No headphones needed. Through speakers the mic also hears the click, and the app locks onto that heard beat to cancel audio latency — so you're judged against where the beat actually sounds, not when it was scheduled. The one thing to avoid on speakers: the audible upbeat. The mic would hear it parked on the target and flatter your reading, so leave it off while measuring (it's fine on headphones).

Reading the number: 50% is dead even, ~66.7% a triplet feel, 75% a dotted-eighth shuffle. Start gives you a one-bar count-in, then the headline averages your off-beats over the last 10 seconds — so it tracks your recent playing and empties if you pause, and freezes where it was once you press Stop. Space starts and stops; if notes are missed or double-counted, the onset-sensitivity slider is the dial.
